The Story Behind The Tidy Atelier
Hi, I’m Christina — the founder of The Tidy Atelier.
This work began for me when I helped my mom navigate years of collected belongings during a time when her home suddenly needed to be easier to move through. Like many parents who’ve downsized after raising a family, she had mail tucked into boxes, overflowing holiday décor, craft supplies, and memories layered in every corner.
As I worked through each space, I realized something important: the challenge wasn’t just the “stuff” - it was the emotion behind it, the memories woven into it, and the overwhelm of not knowing where to begin.
I’m a maximalist at heart. I love sentimental tokens, travel mementos, and objects that remind us of who we’ve loved and where we’ve been. I’m not here to strip homes down to minimalism. I’m here to help people see and enjoy the things that mean the most to them. Sometimes we simply have so much that the meaningful pieces get lost in the overwhelm.
What I love most is helping people uncover those memories again. Going through belongings can feel like a treasure hunt, and guiding someone through that process is one of my greatest joys.
That experience with my mom is why I do this work today. My hope is simple: to help people feel lighter, supported, and able to find joy in a home that truly reflects who they are and the life they love.
